  • 16 student-athletes were inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma National Student-Athlete Honor Society.

  • Josh Gregory and Molly Burdick were named the SUNY Poly Athletics Athletes of the Year, as well as the Kiwanis Club Athletes of the Year.

  • SUNY Poly junior guard Molly Burdick competed for the USA D-III team in the USA Sports & Tours 2022 Women’s Basketball Brazilian Tour. Burdick’s travels with the small group of Division III student-athletes took her all over Brazil in nine days. Burdick, a NAC First Team All-Conference selection in 2022 was the Wildcats leading scorer this past season. She scored her 1,000th career point, led her team to a 12-1 record in conference play, and helped the Wildcats win their fifth Conference Championship in the last six seasons.

  • Josh Gregory was SUNY Poly’s nomination for NAC Man of the Year. The award recognizes academic, athletics, and character/community contributions by conference student-athletes. Additionally, as an alumnus (’22, Men’s Basketball) he signed a professional basketball team contract with UBSC Raiffeisen Graz (Austria).

  • Garrett Hassard (Men’s Volleyball and Athletics Graduate Assistant) was a SUNY Chancellor’s Award recipient.

  • Mike Durr and Al Calogero were named the inaugural SUNY Poly Athletics Service Award recipients at the Athletics Awards Celebration.

  • Men’s Soccer welcomed 25 prospective student-athletes to campus this past June for an ID Clinic.

  • Long-time Women’s & Men’s Cross Country Coach, Bill Tylutki, was recognized for his contributions to the Department and University as he announced his retirement upon the conclusion of the 2021-2022 academic year.

  • SUNY Poly alumnus and former student-athlete, David Golembiowski, was named the Department’s Assistant Athletic Director for Athletics Event and Facilities in late July.

  • Athletics is preparing for Wildcat Weekend in September and looking to welcome back alumni/ae with a special focus on female athletics alumnae as Title IX turns 50.

  • Mixed Golf will make its debut for the Wildcats this fall semester. The Department previously sponsored a Men’s Golf Team.
