The 2020-21 season was a comeback year for the Wildcats. Coming off of the COVID-19 pandemic which canceled the spring season during the 2019-20 academic year, and the fall and winter seasons in the 2020-21 academic year, the Wildcats were able to take to the fields and courts again in the spring of 2021. Four sports competed in a traditional season at SUNY Poly in the spring. Two teams had non-traditional seasons, which included practices and scrimmages.
- Wildcat Athletics implemented COVID-19 safety protocols to pursue a successful return for six teams this spring. 
- Women’s Volleyball played a shortened eight-game season. 
- Baseball was able to play a 21-game season, including a NAC postseason appearance. 
- Softball played 14 games including a 12-game North Atlantic Conference (NAC) schedule. 
- Men’s lacrosse had their best season to date competing in 11 games, winning a NAC Championship, and making an appearance in the NCAA Championship Tournament for the first time in program history. 
- Edward Rosaschi became the first Wildcat to surpass 100 career goals for the men’s lacrosse team. 
- Tyler Schmitz earned a NAC Men’s Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year. 
- Brandon Misiaszek was named the NAC Men’s Lacrosse Coach of the Year. 
- Edward Rosaschi was named the NAC Men’s Lacrosse Tournament MVP. 
- Men’s soccer competed in a non-traditional season and hosted a scrimmage on campus in April. 
- Men’s volleyball had a non-traditional season which saw them traveling to take part in a scrimmage at Potsdam. 
- 36 Wildcat student-athletes were named to the NAC’s Spring All-Academic Team. 
- 10 Wildcats earned NAC Player of the Week honors. 
- 14 SUNY Poly student-athletes earned NAC All-Conference awards. 
- Six Wildcats were named the NAC All-Tournament Teams.
